My little sister she
doesn't know the history,
know how dangerous that a gang can be,
know there's more to it than mischief and mystery.
She's still young, gullible filled with naïveté;
a hard-man, street-thug is not her destiny.
Still when I look at her I cannot help but see
a future filled with violence and broken dreams.
With how impressionable little kids can be,
the likelihood of this is more than prophecy.
It scares me.
These guys need
to understand the consequences of their actions to you and me,
know that there's more to life than fun and games and whimsy.
The violence is real and the silence on it should not be
normalised
Nothing scares me. Not spiders, not snakes. Not darkness, and not even death. Why should I?
After all, during the freakiest winter blizzard of the century, I was found abandoned in the garbage dump with nary a piece of cloth around my wee body. Apparently I was wailing up a storm too, as if I was angry with my parents and with the world.
I admit, I was a pretty difficult child. Eight foster homes and twice that number of run-ins with the law. Quite the record I have there. I’m not exactly proud of it but I guess all that experience did make me become who I am now – a rather successful lady.
My home is situated in one of the mos

[Chapter 11] No Regrets [Levi x Fem!Reader]
Sweat drips from your brow to the cuts marring your skin. You’re sure that you have at least ten scratches on your face, if not more, and it was a wonder how your clothes weren’t ripped to shreds at this point. Levi was relentless with his attacks, and you were almost convinced he wasn’t human.
Six hours. You had been fighting him for six hours now and he still looked fine. No scratches, no dirt, and no signs of fatigue. In your current state, you were too tired to even envy him.
“Oof!” He knocks you down while your mind’s wandering, and as comfortable as the dirt cushion is, you still struggle to get bac

The Ballerina: Tadashi x Reader
Tadashi glances over at the clock on his desk. 9:55 AM. He pushes his chair back and stretches his arms out. He’s been working on his robotics code for almost a full three hours straight. It was about time he gave his eyes a break from looking at the computer screen. He stands up and walks over to his large circular window in his lab room.
He leans against the frame and looks out across campus. Like clockwork, as soon as 10:00 hits, he notices a girl making her way onto the grass directly beneath his field of vision. She has headphones around her ears and has a slight skip in her step as she li

Tadashi slams the book that he had been reading closed and tosses it onto the bed beside him. With a sigh, he sits up straighter and turns to place his feet on the floor. He lets out a sigh and runs a hand through his hair. Sitting on the edge of his bed, he stares blankly at the wall, lost in thought. Unknowingly, his leg begins to bounce up and down.
"You're doing it again," Hiro states in an annoyed tone from across the room.
Tadashi turns his head to focus on his little brother, "Doing what?"
"Sulking."
Tadashi frowns. "I'm not sulkin

You watch the recorded video on your cell phone for the hundredth time, for some reason hoping for a better outcome. However, just like before, the jerk that had been standing in front of you at the time that you filmed this, steps in front of your camera, and completely blocks off what you had been filming. With an irritated huff, you press the button to turn off the screen of your phone and toss it onto the table. You pull out your ear buds as well; the soft buzzing that fills the café now entering your ears. You sigh tiredly and rub your forehead.
You pick up your drawing notebook and flip through the first several pages. Going

A soft murmur slithered itself into her ears, the conversing going on by the people around her only resulted in much greater pain to spread throughout that damaged body of hers. Her limbs not having such strength to move under her own command, not even her ey
